Favorite Christmas Activities and Traditions in Gainesville - seems like everybody has a favorite activity or tradition of some kind. We had a couple; one was to take our kids by Mr. Mason's house in Northeast Gainesville to see his Christmas lights display with trains, ferris wheels, Santas, elves and cases filled with all kinds of whatnots; the other was to see the Christmas Carol at the Hippodrome. No matter how many times we saw it we always looked forward to the next time.
