I got my first guitar and started singing in local nursing homes with my father when I was 7 years old. By age 10, I was leading the teenagers in their UMYF sing-a-longs on Sunday evenings. The Methodist choir was a huge part of my musical up bringing but my father who played big band music on the piano every evening after work was the one who planted the ʻlove of music seedsʼ.
Through the years, Iʼve been fortunate enough to have played in trios, quartets, and solo for art festivals, restaurants and fund raisers. I am currently organizing and singing in events at my farm, Two Hawk Hammock, twohawkhammock.com, that has raised money for The Old Horse Retirement Center in Alachua, Two Tails Ranch and our current project, The Sheriffʼs Youth Ranch.
Iʼve always been awed by the inspirational power of music; thankful that it has been such a big part of my life and pray that God will continue to guide me in my musicaljourney. I am absolutely thrilled and honored to be part of this Christmas Jubilee Jam. What a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of Christ.
