People who don't have the ability to speak can be wonderful communicators and Wilda is no exception. Deaf since birth she has not let what some call a handicap stand in the way of embracing life to the fullest, which includes helping others. In this instance she'll be on program signing for deaf and otherwise hearing impaired attendees.
Wilda was born deaf and spent her early years living with her mother and siblings. Her family wanted to ensure that she was equipped with the education and skills needed to succeed, so at the age of 6, she left home to attend the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind (FSDB) in St. Augustine, Florida.
I've known Wilda since she was a kid and can personally attest to how fine a person she is. I'm glad to have her board. Thanks Wilda.
